Fire Barrier

Cladding cavity fire barriers, also known as cavity fire stops, are

fire-resistant materials installed within the cavities of external walls, typically between the cladding and the structural wall of a building.

These barriers are crucial in preventing the spread of fire and smoke through the concealed spaces or cavities that are formed by the external cladding systems. By compartmentalising these cavities, the fire barriers slow down or block the movement of flames and heat, helping to protect the building structure and give occupants more time to evacuate safely.

Fire barriers are a key element in maintaining fire safety and are required in many building regulations.

Tenmat are the market leader when it comes to fire barrier. They have tested and approved products for various cladding applications.
